Dolphin Dive for Certified Scuba Divers Article - Scuba Diving and Swim with Dolphins

One of my favourite dives as a scuba diver is the dolphin dive with UNEXSO at Freeport in Grand Bahama Island. I love dolphins (who doesn't?) so years ago when I took the swim with dolphins program in the Florida Keys, I was totally thrilled to have direct interaction with them. After getting certified in scuba diving, the dolphin dive would be a step higher. I've done this dolphin dive with UNEXSO twice and the under the water experience with dolphins is certainly even better than the swim with dolphins which limit guests to the surface of the water. Scuba divers get to interact with dolphins in their best environment which is under the water at depth. It is really something to see the dolphins move at depth. Spiegel Grove Shipwreck in Florida for Scuba Divers

I came back recently from the Florida Keys and finally had the chance to dive the Spiegel Grove wreck off Key Largo. The dive plan was pretty similar to that of the Duane which requires scuba divers to pull themselves towards the front of the dive boat where the a line is attached to the descent line. Like the Duane wreck, this dive is for advance certified or higher divers only. The wreck itself is huge. Much larger than the Duane. There are more compartments for swim throughs as well. The ship has three access lines since it is so big. The crane at the stern was pretty neat to sea as this is not something divers see often, even on shipwrecks. The marine life was not as abundant as at the Duane which was a bit disappointing but the site is still relatively new compared to the Duane. So give it time and in the future, the Spiegel Grove will be a great dive site for both the wreck and marine life. See the article on this site at Spiegel Grove Shipwreck for Scuba Divers.

Booked for Spiegel Grove Dive this Weekend

I am booked to do the Spiegel Grove wreck dive this weekend in Key Largo. I will write up a dive report based on that dive site when I return. I heard so far that it's suppose to be an awesome dive, even better than the Duane.
