Christmas Deliveries of Scuba Diving Clothing

By now, it would be too late to ship orders of any scuba diving clothing from Free Spirit Activewear out in time for Christmas deliveries. Delivery standards set by Canada Post and the US Postal Service were the reasons why we had previously suggested December 2 as the final date to get in orders for our scuba dive t shirts or other scuba diving wear. Of course we are still taking orders but the usual 5 to 12 business day delivery standard for North America destinations should be kept in mind.

Scuba Diving Over For The Year

Well, now that winter's here for us in Canada, looks like scuba diving is over for the season. I, myself, do not expect to be traveling south at all this winter so I probably won't have the opportunity to dive again until late spring or early summer of 2006. I'll still be working with the Scuba Dive clothing line at Free Spirit Activewear throughout the winter. There's still quite a few past scuba diving trips I took over the years that I haven't written about yet so I expect to continue producing more dive reports and articles as well. For a list of the current articles so far, see Scuba Diving Information Articles.

The Red Sea in Egypt for Scuba Diving - An Exotic Dive Trip for any Diver

One of the most exotic dive trips any scuba diver can take is to the Red Sea in Egypt. There are two main areas for scuba diving in Egypt. One is at Sharm El Sheikh and the other at Hurghada. A new article called The Red Sea in Egypt for Scuba Diving describes what it is like diving in the Red Sea, particularly out of Sharm El Sheikh which is the more popular dive center in Egypt. The diving and marine life found in the Red Sea are very different from the Caribbean.

A scuba diving excursion to the Red Sea is quite an adventure. Speaking of adventure, see the Scuba Dive Adventurer line of shirts.

Scuba Diving During a Cruise Vacation - Options for Certified Divers

If one takes a Caribbean cruise vacation, is it still possible to scuba dive? The answer is yes. There are some different options available to the certified scuba diver who wants to do some diving during a cruise. See the article Scuba Diving During a Cruise Vacation for more details. Cruise lines and many dive operators located at cruise ship ports realize that many passengers on cruise ships are certified divers who will probably want to dive during their cruise vacations. Different options have been created to facilitate this.

Key Largo Scuba Diving in November

I was scuba diving in Key Largo on November 13 and was actually surprised on the water temperature. I thought that the water temperature would still be relatively warm until about December but it was actually on the borderline of being slightly chilly. My dive computer read the water temperature at about 75 degrees F but it always seems to inflate the readings a bit so I would imagine that the actual water temperature was a few degrees lower. Of course, it was still warmer than one trip I took down there during a January when I did my NAUI Advance course. The water temperature was 71 degrees F which was a bit too cold for a 3 mm wetsuit.

I am an adventurer but I don't want to be a warm adventurer, not one that is freezing in the water. Speaking of adventure, to see the Scuba Dive Adventurer line, see Scuba Diving Clothing.

Scuba Diving in Costa Del Sol Spain?

I have a chance to travel to the Costa Del Sol area of Spain next year. The month will be either October or November. I did some preliminary research on the net on the scuba diving there in the south of Spain and looks like there are some dive operators. The water temperature however looks darn cold at that time of year. It's definitely a 7 mm suit or even dry suit. I don't know if I would bother to do any scuba diving there at that time of year then as I'm basically a warm water diver. Then again, it might be adventure.
