Fiction Author Wants To Write About Scuba Diver

A fiction author contacted me and wanted to write a novel about a scuba diver.  He doesn't dive himself so some of his description of dives were not accurate.  I advised him to go to a scuba shop and buy a basic manual from either PADI or NAUI if he can't afford to take a course.  At least the manual will give him a better idea of what diving is all about.  There are some articles at our scuba diving site that he can check out as well but he really should get a manual.
